Domestic Directory collects the information needed to operate worker accounts, publish approved profiles and deliver enquiries between employers and workers.
Information supplied by workers
Worker accounts may include a name, email address, phone number, location, profile photograph, availability, rate, skills, work history, biography and reference information. Approved profile information is public except for account credentials, direct worker contact details and reference contact details.
Information supplied by employers
When an employer sends an enquiry, their name, email address, optional phone number and message are emailed to the selected worker. The form explains this before submission.
References
Reference contact details are stored for profile management and possible administrative review. They are not displayed publicly. Workers should obtain permission before supplying another person’s information.
Passwords and reset links
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be retrieved. Password-reset links are time-limited, single-use and stored as hashes.
Account activity and service emails
Domestic Directory records successful account login times so administrators can monitor use of the service. Passwords, IP addresses and browser details are not included in this activity record. Essential service emails may be sent about profile submission, approval, account access and employer enquiries.
Sharing and retention
Information is used to operate the directory and is not sold. Public profile details remain visible while a profile is approved. Account holders may request corrections or removal through the contact page.
Your choices
Workers can edit their profiles after logging in. For account deletion, privacy questions or corrections, contact Domestic Directory.
